Walter Mitty Poem

Brooke Smith Before I even began to read The concealed smell of Walter Mitty, I was already interested in what it was personnel casualty to be about because the author, James Thurber, is from my homet cause Columbus, Ohio. So this made me remarkable as to what a create verballyr who grew up where I did would write about. When I first read the story, I thought I accidently skipped a few pages because the story went from one thing to another. As I read along though, I realized that I was wrongfulness and that this seemed to be a main theme end-to-end the story. Walter Mitty seemed to be controlled a mint by his wife, Mrs. Mitty, a covey. And it seemed same to strike a charge from this he imagined a lot about things way beyond his reality. I hypothesize that since Mrs. Mitty was in control of him so much, with telling him what to do all the conviction and what not, Walters fantasies and solar day dreams were his only real escape, and his own way of existence in co ntrol of things himself.

I think this because his fantasies are those of where he is in control a lot of the time, such as being the lead surgeon, a electric ray pilot, and the captain of a vessel. I like the character of Walter. He seems to have the mind of a little kid that is stuck in an older persons body with the way that he thinks and fantasizes about things. The story cease up being kinda interesting to me. I wasnt really sure on the ending of the story, but I think he started to fantasize again when Mrs. Mitty went back within because she forgot something.
